Heard so much about Viswanathan Chettinadu Hotel in food circles, never really had an opportunity to visit it. A friend and I happened to find ourselves in the vicinity of Chennai Citi Center around lunch time and I immediately decided this was where we were going to have lunch, glad we did!. There are two branches of the restaurant located diagonally opposite to each other. One was an AC restaurant, while the other one was a basic non-AC place. Assuming that the AC restaurant would be dimly lit, perhaps not good enough for clicking pictures, we stepped into the non-AC place. It was a simple no-frils place.
Taste was heaven.. Best fish dishes available here. And even cost effective
Had ordered
Fish curry, steam rice, and vanjaram fish fry
Must visit place in chennai

Food:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Non Veg meals : The best non veg meals I’ve had with a wide variety of non veg gravies and two accompaniment that keeps changing everyday. The gravies were so full of flavour and the consistency wasn’t the watery kind you find in most places. Nattu Kozhi gravy🐓, Chicken gravy🍗 and rasam were my favourites here. The rice is served piping hot and is soo fluffy🍚which enhances the flavour of the gravies when mixed with it❤️🥰😍
Mutton Chukka : The texture of the meat was so spongy and the flavour of the spice was well immensed in the meat. Even after the dish got cold the meat remained to be soft. That shows the quality and experience of cooking the meat to perfection👍
Chicken 65 : This is one of the mandatory dish ordered wherever I go and I loved this to bits as it wasn’t oily and the chicken was soft and flavourful.
Prawn Thokku : The flavours were perfect though the consistency was a bit watery to be called a thokku. The prawns was tiny and cooked perfectly too👌
